Enugu State House of Assembly Speaker,
Ugwu gave the commendation during a working visit to the agency, where he met its General Manager, Diamond Ani, and reviewed its community development initiatives.
He said collaboration among government institutions was essential to delivering inclusive development and tangible results at the grassroots.
The Speaker commended the CSDA for its interventions across rural communities and praised Ani for what he described as notable progress since assuming office.
He also urged community stakeholders, including Presidents-General and traditional rulers, to strengthen their partnerships with the agency to facilitate more Community Development Projects.
Ugwu described the administration’s focus on rural development through the CSDA as consistent with Governor Mbah’s “Tomorrow is Here” leadership philosophy. He said stronger institutional collaboration would help extend the impact of government programmes to more communities.
Responding, Ani thanked the Speaker for the visit and his support for the agency through legislation and collaboration with the executive arm of government.
He reaffirmed the CSDA’s commitment to working with government institutions, communities and other stakeholders to deliver sustainable interventions based on identified community needs.
“I appreciate the Executive Governor of Enugu State, Dr Peter Mbah, for prioritising community needs in his administration,” Ani said.
The visit also provided an opportunity for the Speaker to receive updates on ongoing community development initiatives being funded by the Enugu State Government through the CSDA.
The agency has been tasked with advancing community-driven development and grassroots interventions across the state.
