AWKA — Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, has congratulated his predecessor, Chief Willie Obiano, on his 71st birthday, describing him as a worthy son of the state whose eight years in office contributed to its development.
Soludo, in a congratulatory message signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Christian Aburime, on Saturday, commended Obiano’s initiatives and policies during his tenure, particularly his contributions to the growth and development of Anambra.
The governor also acknowledged the former governor’s investments in infrastructure and described him as a patriot deserving of celebration.
Obiano served as governor of Anambra State from March 2014 to March 2022.
“Governor Soludo wishes former Governor Willie Obiano a happy birthday today, with prayers for his sustained good health, joy, and many more years of a fulfilled, good life,” the statement said.
Obiano, who was born on August 8, 1955, is a banker and politician who served as Anambra’s fourth democratically elected governor.
