The campaign tour, held at the weekend, was led by Hon. Freedom Nnam, APC Chairman and Director-General of the Campaign Council, and attracted party faithful, market leaders and community stakeholders.

At Garki Market, market leaders and traders received the campaign council, where Nnam formally introduced the APC candidates for the forthcoming elections in Enugu South.

Nnam urged the traders to support APC candidates from the local government to the state and national levels.

Ani said the administration of Gov. Peter Mbah of Enugu State operated a non-tribalistic government that provided equal opportunities to citizens.

He appealed to the traders to support all APC candidates, assuring them that his administration would run an inclusive government focused on traders’ welfare and market infrastructure.

Responding, leaders of the markets endorsed Ani and described him as a man with the capacity to deliver.

They also called for the evacuation of refuse heaps blocking the road to the community and the commencement of road rehabilitation.

The community further appealed for government intervention to secure the release of their son, Barr. Bright Ngene, whom they said had been in detention for a long time.
