Rep. Atu Gets Town Unions’ Support for Second Term in Enugu

ENUGU, NIGERIA — The Enugu State Council of Presidents-General of Town Unions on Tuesday endorsed Hon. Chimaobi Atu, the member representing Enugu North/South Federal Constituency, for a second term in the House of Representatives.

The council announced the decision during a courtesy visit to the lawmaker at his residence in Ugwuaji, Enugu.

Speaking on behalf of the delegation, Council Chairman Chief Arinze Ogbodo stated that the endorsement followed a review of the lawmaker’s performance in office.

“In just one term, your representation has been visible, impactful, and people-centred,” Ogbodo said. “From infrastructure development and youth empowerment to educational interventions and other constituency projects, the people have witnessed purposeful leadership. This endorsement reflects our confidence in your ability to deliver even more in another term.”

In his response, Hon. Atu expressed gratitude for the council’s decision and pledged to maintain his focus on constituency development.

“I am deeply humbled by this endorsement,” Atu stated. “It is a call to greater service, and I assure you that the job is not yet finished. I remain committed to working harder to justify the trust and confidence our people have placed in me.”
