Salaga South MP Mourns Late Kulibuwura

The Member of Parliament for Salaga South Constituency in Ghana’s Savannah Region, Hajia Zuwera Ibrahimah, has joined family members, traditional leaders, government officials and members of the Muslim community at the 7th Day Adua of the late Kulibuwura of Makango, Osman Yakubu Keli IV.

The MP, who has maintained an active role in parliamentary and constituency affairs, said the late traditional ruler was more than a chief to her, describing him as a father, mentor and trusted adviser.

Hajia Ibrahimah is the National Democratic Congress MP for Salaga South and has been recognised for her active participation in parliamentary proceedings.

Speaking after the prayers at the late chief’s residence in Makango, Hajia Ibrahimah recalled her personal relationship with the traditional ruler, saying, “He would fondly recount the memories he shared with my late father whenever I visited him at the palace.

Over time, I came to see him not only as a traditional leader, but also as a father, mentor and trusted advisor. His wisdom, warmth and genuine concern for his people will be greatly missed.”

The MP was joined by the Regional Minister, government appointees, party executives, traditional leaders and members of the Muslim Ummah to pray for Allah to forgive the late Kulibuwura’s shortcomings and grant him Jannatul Firdaus.

On behalf of President John Dramani Mahama and the National Democratic Congress, Hajia Ibrahimah extended her condolences to the bereaved family, the people of Makango and the entire Kpembe Traditional Area, praying for strength and comfort for all those affected by the loss.
