AWKA — The Commissioner of Police in Anambra, CP Nnanna Oji Ama, has visited the family of slain Awka media personality, Isaac Nwosu, popularly known as “Aiza”, and vowed to bring the perpetrators to justice.
Ama made the pledge on Monday during a condolence visit to the deceased’s family in Awka, shortly after a two-hour closed-door meeting with the command’s strategic and operational officers.
According to the command’s spokesperson, SP Ikenga Tochukwu, the meeting reviewed security information, particularly intelligence from members of the public in Awka, to strengthen operations against violent crime.
He said the CP described Nwosu as an asset to Anambra who would be greatly missed by his family, the state and the police command, particularly for his contributions to the command’s security advocacy activities.
Ama directed the relevant operational and investigative units to intensify efforts to identify and apprehend those responsible for the killing.
He reassured the family and residents of Anambra that the command would pursue the investigation with determination and bring the perpetrators to book.
The CP also urged the people to continue to trust the integrity of the police and support the ongoing investigation by providing credible information to assist the command.
