Mbah Names Agu Transport Commissioner-Designate

Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State has appointed the Chairman of Enugu Air, Richard Agu, as Commissioner-Designate for the state Ministry of Transport.

The Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Chidiebere Onyia, announced the appointment in a statement issued on Wednesday in Enugu.

Onyia said Mbah approved the appointment and, in accordance with the law, Agu’s name had been forwarded to the Enugu State House of Assembly for screening and confirmation.

Agu, who currently chairs the Board of Enugu Air, is expected to take charge of the Ministry of Transport if confirmed by the lawmakers.

The appointment remains subject to Agu’s screening and confirmation by the Enugu State House of Assembly.
