The Ghanaian Government has called for stronger collaboration between the public and private sectors to promote responsible business practices and sustainable economic growth.
Ernest Genfi, Presidential Adviser on National Resilience and Emergency Preparedness, made the call while representing the Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah, at the Ghana Converge Summit 2026.

Genfi said national prosperity depended on a shared responsibility between a government that creates an enabling environment and a private sector that invests, innovates and expands responsibly.
He cautioned businesses against pursuing profitability at the expense of consumers, communities and the environment, stressing that economic growth without social responsibility could not be regarded as sustainable or secure.
According to him, ethical commerce was both a moral responsibility and an economic necessity, providing a foundation for lasting growth, investor confidence and national development.
Genfi said government remained committed to strengthening policies and maintaining a stable and supportive economic environment to enable businesses to invest, expand and create jobs.
He said the government would continue to work with the private sector to build an economy that encouraged responsible investment while ensuring that the benefits of economic development were broadly shared across society.
