Tinubu Begins Three-Week European Vacation

President Bola Tinubu has commenced a three-week vacation as part of his annual leave, departing Abuja for Europe.

The President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Mr Bayo Onanuga, disclosed this in a statement issued in Abuja, saying Tinubu’s first destination would be London, United Kingdom.

“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will depart Abuja today for Europe to begin a three-week vacation as part of his annual leave,” Onanuga said.

He added, “His first stop will be London, United Kingdom.”

According to the presidential aide, Tinubu is expected to return to Nigeria after the working vacation to resume official engagements, including preparations for the January 2027 election campaign.

The Presidency, however, did not state in the announcement whether Vice-President Kashim Shettima would assume the role of Acting President during Tinubu’s absence.

Shettima is currently in Luanda, Angola, where he is representing Tinubu at the 21st Extraordinary Session of the African Union Assembly.
